Disabled women’s experiences of domestic abuse

Disabled women are over twice as likely to experience domestic abuse as non-disabled women. They should therefore make up the largest group of women that we work with. The fact that this is not demonstrated in statistics reveals how difficult it is for some disabled women to access the type of service they need.
